The Senior Bike Messengers of San Francisco
This little project was started partly because of this SFist article incorrectly proclaiming Junior to be the oldest bike messenger in San Francisco. The truth is that there are five bike messengers in San Francisco over the age of 60 with Junior being the youngest out of all five. Assembled in one place for the first time, here are all five of the senior bike messengers in San Francisco, starting with the oldest

It Crawled From the Vault #27
Vince Welnick and Missing Man Formation, Haight Street Fair, June 13, 1999 (22nd annual haight street fair)
Vince Welnick, former member of The Tubes, Grateful Dead and Todd Rungren (Vince Welnick on Wiki) ... Vince died 7 years later in 2006
This is likely the only known audio recording of this show. None has surfaced so far
Vince Welnick, Haight Street Fair, 6-13-99, appr 59 minutes - updated June 3, 2012, new upload
http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/98848151/file.html
this is a photo from the stage at the Haight Street Fair of Vince Welnick, courtesy of Mike Lawson, the guitar player, also pictured. Mike's unsure of the exact date, but Vince only did a few HSF shows around 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, so this could have been the same year

Vince Welnick video on Youtube at the same Haight Street fair in 2002
RIP, Vince

City Hall and Venus
The dome of San Francisco City Hall and Venus to the right, looking west, about an hour after sundown

Actually, it's stunning to see anything in the night sky, since it's the first fogless night in almost 2 months. But the real shocker comes in 12 hours, when this big bright thing comes blazing across the sky. It's called the sun. Do not be alarmed. That is supposed to be there

Club 6 still disturbing neighbors after 3 years
Club 6 patrons at 1:20am this morning. In the video one Club 6 member asks me for money to video tape, and then you can hear the DJ yelling about how the old guy upstairs has been complaining. That would be Jim Ayers, who lives directly above where this crowd is yelling. Basically, Club 6 staff and patrons are going out of their way to disturb the neighbors now, after three years of complaints
this first became news three years ago and also mentioned on this blog where you can hear an audio interview with Jim Ayers
Club 6 is now intentionally trying to make the neighbors miserable This wasn't people leaving either. These people specifically came out side and targeted senior citizens living directly above them, yelling as loud as they can for more than one hour, then they went back inside and partied some more
Shame on you, Angel Cruz. There's a special place in hell for people who target senior citizens
update, this is the same spot during the day. Yes there are people that live directly above where these people were yelling at 1am

KQED - It's A Beautiful Day 1969 safety tapes - sneak preview

It is the only known professional recording that includes all of the 5 original members, David laFlamme, Linda 'neska' LaFlamme, Hal Wagenet, Mitchell Holman and Pattie Santos

Pablo Cruise, Sausalito Arts Fest, September 9, 2000
This concert is special because original bassist and singer Bud Cockrell was there. Bud Cockrell died in March and there's also a facebook tribute page. Bud didn't play much with Pablo Cruise since he left in the 70's after recording the double platinum seller A Place in the Sun, which he wrote, so this is a rare appearance by Bud and possibly his last ever recorded show with Pablo Cruise. Rest in Peace, Bud!
